Nihonbashi
The Nihonbashi district has been flourishing since the Nihonbashi Bridge was built as a starting point of the five major highways during the Edo Period.

Tsukishima/Kachidoki/SumidaRiver

This dignified bridge was built in 1940. The bridge can be raised in two sections separating at the middle to allow for river transportation passing underneath, but has never been opened since the Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge was built upriver in 1968.
